ABOUT

Kim Raver is an award-winning actress and director whose career spans theater, television, and film. Best known to audiences for her work on 24Third Watch, and Grey’s Anatomy, Raver has brought the same precision, emotional depth, and collaborative spirit that define her performances into her work behind the camera.

In 2018, Raver optioned the rights to three bestselling novels by Jane Green—Tempting FateTo Have and To Hold, and Family Pictures. She not only championed these adaptations at Lifetime, but also shepherded them from page to screen as an executive producer and, on Tempting Fate, as co-director. By securing the rights, assembling the creative teams, and guiding every stage of production, Raver ensured these female-driven stories reached a broad audience with authenticity and heart.

Her television directorial debut came in Grey’s Anatomy Season 19 with the episode “Training Day”, a character-driven exploration of reproductive rights. Having shadowed veteran directors such as Debbie Allen, Raver approaches her directing with an actor-first mindset, a keen sense of emotional pacing, and a collaborative, respectful set environment.

Fluent in French and German, and a graduate of Boston University’s BFA Drama program, Raver continues to develop and direct projects that reflect her commitment to layered, character-focused storytelling—both in front of and behind the camera.
